Dog Cloning
Create a bond that is truly everlasting with dog cloning by Gemini Genetics
Dog Cloning From Gemini Genetics
For many, dogs become irreplaceable family members, providing companionship, love and life-enriching fulfilment. Dog cloning provides a unique opportunity to re-create and extend this treasured bond between dog and owner.
How is your dog cloned?
Once your samples are shipped to ViaGen Pets & Equine, they complete the dog cloning process for you. Here, using the tissue sample from your dog, genetic material to create their identical twin is transferred into an egg cell and an embryo is created. The embryo is then implanted into a surrogate mum who carries the pregnancy to term and cares for the puppy in the same way as a normal pregnancy.
How much does it cost to clone a dog?
Via our partners, ViaGen Pets & Equine, the cost of dog cloning is $50,000.
Visit our Price List page for further information
Can you clone a dog from hair?
Dog cloning can only be achieved from a skin sample (skin biopsy) taken from your dog. These can be taken while your dog is alive, upon veterinary consent only, or after they have passed away.
Visit our sample taking page for full instructions.
Can you clone other animals?
How Do I Clone My Dog If I Live Outside The UK?

Is there a time limit for collecting samples after my dog passes away?
For optimum viability, you have 5 days after your dog has passed away, to submit a sample for future cloning. Your dog’s body must also be kept chilled after their passing and not frozen. Sample taking instructions are available here and by contacting us for emergency assistance.
