Nature’s SAFE – Europe’s first charitable living biobank
Nature’s SAFE is Europe’s first charitable living biobank. Nature’s SAFE is dedicated to storing tissues from animals threatened with extinction to halt and reverse biodiversity loss. Natures SAFE collects, indefinitely stores and regenerates reproductive cells and cell lines from wild and endangered species. Samples stored with Nature’s SAFE remain dormant until thawed when they can be used directly for artificial reproduction and for cell culture.
At Gemini Genetics, we are a proud supporter of charity Nature’s SAFE and assist with Nature’s SAFE sample cryopreservation.
Each day we are losing millions of species of plants and animals worldwide. This critical decline in biodiversity is threatening the air we breathe, our climate, and our own existence. Nature’s SAFE is on a mission to Save Animals From Extinction by collecting, indefinitely storing and regenerating reproductive cells and cell lines from endangered animal species.
On Thursday 23rd February 2023, Nature’s SAFE are hosting an inaugural charity event at the National History Museum. The special evening hosted by charity Nature’s SAFE, includes guest speakers Sir Ranulph Fiennes and Richard Vigne. The evening will showcase the vital work of charity Nature’s SAFE, in Saving Animals From Extinction, and include presentations from internationally renowned experts in animal conservation, to highlight the plight and urgency of response needed to species extinction. Visit the Natures SAFE website for more details and to register for the Nature’s SAFE charity event.
